Let's sit back, enjoy the moment, and embrace our inner pop star.

Let's face it, we ALL have one or two guilty pleasures that we are very reluctant to admit to. Whether it's an upbeat dance tune from the 90's, or a heart-felt boy band ballad that leaves you teary eyed, there's always that one song that we just can't get enough of. Admittedly, Glee's version of 'Don't Stop Believing' is one of the most played tracks on my iTunes. Now that IS a guilty pleasure. But it's fine, because that is who I am and I'm not afraid to admit it.

But what do these songs really say about you? Are you secretly hoping to become the sixth member of the Spice Girls? Does the youthful voice of Britney Spears make you jump around your room with your hairbrush in your hand? Now I know it can be scary, some of these songs can be reputation crushing! But who cares?! Let's sit back, enjoy the moment, and embrace our inner pop star.

1. Belinda Carlisle - Heaven Is A Place On Earth

Okay, so we're taking a trip back to the 80's. But how could we not? This era gave us some of the best tracks to have ever existed. And Belinda did a fantastic job of creating one of the most popular guilty pleasures of all time. If you know every word to this song, then you're a fun loving, light-hearted character and you are most definitely the best singer and dancer in the room.

2. Backstreet Boys - As Long As You Love Me

These five guys are probably the best boy band to have ever graced this earth. You know you're a number one Backstreet Boy fan if you still go weak at the knees by the sound of their dreamy voices. Fear not, it's nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, I applaud you for being part of the very few who still listen to this old school pop music, it shows that you want to re-live your youth and appreciate when boy bands were actually good. We've all had that boy band stage, some of us are just still in it.

3. Miley Cyrus- Wrecking Ball

If we're supposed to be angry at Miley for growing up then so be it. But let's not forget what's really important here, the music. If you're a sucker for this song, it shows you have a strong head and don't let other people's opinions get in the way of your judgement. This song is a TUNE and if you don't agree with me, then you better leave the room while I listen to it.

4. O-Zone - Dragostea Din Tei

This is everyone's guilty pleasure. And if you're saying it's not, you're lying. At some point in everyone's life, they have sung along to this catchy tune. This song was the soundtrack of summer in 2004 and every youngster at the time was trying to impress his or her friends by singing in a different language (although they had no clue what they were actually saying). This is the kind of song you can listen to on repeat and you'll never get bored.

5. Taylor Swift - Trouble

Hands up who loves a bit of Country Pop? *Raises hand* Okay, so technically 'Trouble' isn't actually Country, but that's the reason we love Taylor, isn't it? Whether you've been a die-hard fan of hers since the early days, or you love her new style of music, 'Trouble' is that one song you have to fall in love with. If you are that person that screams the chorus when it comes in, then good for you! You won't let anyone tell you that you're 'uncool' for liking Taylor Swift, because we all secretly know that everyone loves a bit of Taylor. In my eyes, you're the best! I welcome you with open arms.

6. Avril Lavigne - Sk8er Boi

Back in the day, Avril Lavigne was the girl to be. Every teenage girl dreamed of being as cool as her (I'm still working on it). She burst onto the scene with Sk8er Boi and everyone was in awe of her. If you've got this gem hidden away on your playlist, be sure to remind yourself of how incredible she is. If you're like me and listen to Avril on a daily basis, then don't worry, it is time we embraced our inner rock chick and pretend to be as awesome as her, even if it is in the comfort of our own bedrooms. Get this song on, turn it up to full volume and do some insane head banging; you will feel on top of the world after it. Now, excuse me while I go and cry at the fact that I'm not Avril Lavigne…
